comfort music ko - handel's water music suite

tapos i came across sa youtube.com, some dude played pachelbel on his electric guitar. that was cool!

ganda talaga yang water music.. i heard the king singers do it in acappela. sayang di ko nakuha yung cd. yung pachelbel naman i think canon in d yan i heard it being sung din started the usual way then naging medyo modern alternative sounding ang ganda, sayang di ko nakuha artist.

what do u mean?

there are musical concepts behind the music right?

there are patterns and a way of thinking behind it which is different from

the way of thinking of modern musicians.

how'd they compose? why? what were they thinking when they wrote the music?

yun lang po, intellectual curiosity from someone who doesn't know a thing about music hehe :)

though I'm not a musician, I know Beethoven is deaf..... so just think the complexities of how

he composed his music... I think this classical musicians are more like painters and expressionists

because they developed their musics according to their moods or to express their self...

just my 2 cents

im no ryan cayabyab but ill try to answer your q. others.. pls feel free to correct me kung me mali ako. most songwriters write with inspiration. it was said (probably not true) that beethoven wrote the 9th symphony after listening to birds humming the first few notes. but most composers like mozart can write at will, the sound however would of course depend upon the mood and the inspiration. and most composers during the olden times are following patterns ( thanks to the likes of bach and handel) unlike now songwriters are free to make their own music without submitting themselves to any rules. haba pa sana sasabihin ko kaso mukhang lecture na e hehehe tsaka hirap magexplain pag wala example kaya dyan na muna.

hehehe ako naman i love puccini! he wrote some of the most romantic operas ever known. kaya nga sabi ni barbara streisand sa mirror has two faces. " when you are in love you hear puccini".

i also prefer mozart over beethoven kasi mas happier sounding ang mga works ni mozart except for the requiem mass ( mass for the dead) na sinulat nya for his dad. plus si beethoven kasi nabibingi na nga kaya mas gloomy at mas loud ang works nya.

yap very well said. indeed he is going deaf when he wrote some of the most popular classical pieces. like the moonlight sonata , symphony number 9 etc..

Just thought I'd up this thread as a show of support. :)

Pop music appeals more to people because like candy, it's sweet, digestible, and has a taste that's more appealing to the majority.

But when one digests too much sugar.......(you know the rest).

I dig Bach too (para hindi OT)!

Did I say digestible? I stand corrected if there's no such word.

How 'bout "easy to digest"? I think that sounds better.... :)

Sa totoo lang lang, not all classical music composers are from the classical era.

Meron diyan Baroque, Romanticism, Avant-Garde, etc.

Meron pa nga modern eh... Yung Goth type, hehehehe... :)

korek! mozart is from the classical era, bach and handel are from the rennaisance beethoven is late classical going to romantic ( that is why his late works are a little romantic sounding na) etc etc
