OhChinito, started in Peds Residency, then jumped to doing ER work. now OH and Forensic Med certified. and working as a Medico-Legal with the PNP

Peds = pediatrician? You being in the medical field. What do you think is the most useful premed course? And which specialization is the most lucrative?

Do you also undergo residency if you want to be a medico-legal?

Just a curious bloke. Hehe  :)

@OhChinito... For the first 2 years of medschool, the pre med course that had the advantage was Medtech. This is because of their familiarity with biochem and laboratories
Nurses had the advantage in the last 2 years. As a nurse I had the benefit of being vaguely familiar.with human anatomy physiology, diseases and medications. Medicine was a whole different level though as I quickly found out.

If you don't mind having a hectic schedule, ObGyn is one of the most lucrative in the Phils simply because of the sheer quantity of pregnancy. Other specialties might pay more but they dont get the quantity of patients an ObGyn gets.

Keep in mind that is just an observation and not based on any statistical analysis.

i took Biology personally, and i didn't find any problems with most of my subjects. as to lucrative, that really depends on you. i have friends who practice family med, yet live in posh subdivisions. one thing you could control though is location. practicing in an area that's already saturated with specialists diminishes you patient base considerably. unless, of course, you inherit a practice.

hello fellow med professionals.  have you tried  the new online of prc for license renewal?  it was very convenient.  pagdating ko sa prc, wala pang 30 minutes nakuha ko na license ko

ang pdea pala doesnt give card licenses anymore.  they just issue a 6x6 certification na may s2 license ka.  need to have it laminated para tumagal ng 3 years.  ang mahirap pa, unless you have it xeroxed/reduced hindi magkakasya sa wallet.  hirap pa naman matandaan s2 license number kasi alpha numeric

Bakedzitiguy, you can't have it reduced pala. Against the rules daw. Better to keep it near your pads nalang
