i could still remember before..

when it was still located ..

on the corner of matatag street... ... (where KFC is now located...)

it was like an old resto.. with the mid 1950's 70's look..
..................

during summer.. my fam and i would go here and just walk...

to get their halohalo..
or mais con yelo..

anyway... those where the days...

now.. they moved to this place... hmmmm i guess this area
(behind the quezon city hall) is really becoming commercialized...)

pansit palabok!!!!!

i swear, isa to sa pinakamasarap kung palabok lang ang pag-uusapan.. and do not get confused between palabok and malabon. real pansit palabok should use rice noodles na thin, vermicelli talaga.. and their version is still so sopping wet with the orange sauce.. WINNER!

Nasa business pa rin ba ang resto na ito? If it is... I really have to make a trip there. This is where my parents had their wedding reception in 1978, but it's the one in Matatag St.

Ang sarap ng pancit palabok dito. And also, they have the best halo-halo i've ever had. Sa halo-halo pa lang nila, mabubusog ka talaga. LOL. :P

Palabok was good, but not the best. My friend said palabok in Balayan, Batangas is the best she's had. And mine was one from Cainta, Rizal.

Their meat dishes are good. We tried spareribs and tenderloin. Good for their price.

The halo-halo, yum! I'm not a big fan of halo-halo but it's the best I've had so far.

Today is parents' wedding anniv, and we decided to eat lunch here. Obviously, it wasn't the same building where parents had their wedding reception in 1978, but mom had a nostalgic feeling when the one who took our order was one of those who helped serving guests during their reception.

Among the others we had, we also ate their palabok and halo halo, and true to what people say in this thread, it was really good.

i used to call this "restaurant ng mga nagtatago" because of its current location. my dad used to treat us here every sunday for a halo-halo, pansit palabok, and hamburger when we were still young. now, it my turn to treat my family in the same restaurant. 2nd generation customer ba....
