The sandwich is underrated.

When we talk of good food, we talk of dishes like pasta, pizza, japanese, chinese, ... you get my drift. The sandwich is often overlooked maybe because its too ordinary, andybody can make them, or there are too many bad sandwiches out there.

But the sandwich can be as good as any gourmet dish.

Post your unforgettable sandwich experiences here. Good or bad.

I frequent Almon Marina. They have a wide selection of sandwiches. Some of my favorites are garlic sausage, shrimp avocado, roast beef.

As for other popular sandwich places -- olivers, subway, delifrance -- they're all too bland for me.

Almon Marina. Subway sana, kaso they removed my fave meatball sandwich from their menu.

When I went to the US, I frequented this corner deli somewhere in LA which served great pastrami sandwiches on rye.

I love longga/chori burgers from Boracay. I have no idea why Bun on The Run closed down and why nobody else in manila sells choriburgers. They are yummy.

One time I went to a bbq stand in Boracay and they were all out of choriburgers. I almost cried, but instead went to watch the sabong. After the sabong, there were choriburgers again. I was about to cry again out of pure joy, until I started thinking if it was mere coincidence that there were choriburgers after a sabong.

Swift used to make choriburgers. We used to buy scrap/end parts from a neighbor who worked there, but that was a long time ago. Try Burger Machines Longanisa ang Egg sandwich

The burger machine sandwich is ok, but why go jumbo longa when you can go jumpo spicy with cheese!

Shouldn't jumbo burgers have jumbo cheese?

I liked the sandwiches at Au Bon Pain but all their branches here had closed already.

The vegetarian club at Edsa Shang's Garden Cafe is incredible.

I used to like Subway's vegetarian sub, but the quality in the Katipunan branch has dipped tremendously. They don't even cut the bread the way they used to. They don't put cheese in anymore, and they don't even have jalapenos. No wonder the place was empty that last time I went there.

I think their tuna uses mustard instead of the usual mayo. That's what I usually order, but I've never tried the pesto. :) OT: I love their coffee~ Better than Starbuck's
