Ganun ba? It seems you are a little bit older than me.. :D

My Plaridel experience was a great one even though I only stayed there for a year.. I was graduating when I joined.. I loved writing articles in Filipino during my college years.. I just browsed through some of my articles yesterday and it gave me goosebumps.. Whoa!!! That was 13 years ago.. Nostalgia!!!

Like you, I also joined the Plaridel in my senior year. I wrote for the La Sallian quite a bit longer (2+ years). :)

I am noticing that current students and/or more recent graduates now call themselves La Sallians when way back, La Sallian was termed for the school paper while the students were called La Sallites. Just a bit of "historic" trivia although hindi gaano malayo ang stay ko from yours given the number of years you mentioned. :D :P

Dunno if the format of our resume is still the same:

Its like this:

1) Name and address/contact no.
2) Education (MBA/College/HS - on that format)
3) Awards
4) Work Experiences
5) Seminars Attended
6) Personal Background (Age, Status - medyo paragraph form)

Oks ba? :boo:

hahaha... the thing is... the school admins prefer to... uhm... have thier students to NOT live the part by inculcating to them a brainwashing mechanism by referring to themselves as lasallians. in DASMA the formators "inculcates" in our minds that we are LASALYANO, which is the filipino version of lasallian.

the whole system seems to be developing this insecurity that thier students are becoming elitists.

the issue here is not about the stereotype rich kids with no brain. the real issue here is that the students have this elitist attitude among them.

Okay, if you want me to be more specific........

There is a La Sallite way of presenting a resume.. Di ba ang ibang resume they start off with personal background, may height and weight pa.. Before we were taught of not putting your height, weight and nationality, etc. But its hard to explain it here in MTC.. Plus the boards is not really fit for resumes.. Kaya ang hirap isulat dito..

To be more clear, I have scanned a copy..

We were taught before to strictly follow this format, education first, then awards, exams passed, then work experiences, then seminars and then a brief backgrounder.. Is this clear enough? :)

My ex-GF liked DLSU's format better than what she has been giving out.. Sabi niya sa Ateneo daw during her time, there was no Atenean resume.. Kaya ginamit niya ang format ng La Salle..

How do we define an "elitist"? Is the definition limited to one who is wealthy, not that intelligent, refuses to mingle with the middle and lower classes, AND has not contributed much to society? Do all 4 conditions have to be satisfied?

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter whether we call ourselves La Sallites, La Sallians, or Lasalyanos. It's what's in our hearts that matters. It's what we do with our La Salle education to help ourselves and the people around us better that matters.

GO LA SALLE AND PEACE TO EVERYONE! :thumbsupsmiley:

entry level resume you mean? tinuturo 'to sa school 'no. pero di ko na ginagamit.

i stopped using the format kasi di na sya practical. i mean, i've been working for some time and the format doesn't suit my needs anymore.
