i'm not sure how many people suffer from migraine but this is really driving me crazy.. productivity goes down because of this.. ano ba ginagawa nyo to relieve the suffering?

pare, coffee. the purer, the better.

Hindi ba dapat i avoid nga yung coffee.Kasi as for me,coffee was the culprit kaya nag trigger yung migraine ko. Sabi rin ng Dr. na tinanung ko also avoid the ff:Chocolates,alchoholic drinks (hindi ako pwede ng wala yan),staying up late,nuts to name a few. :ninja: :D

Migraine??? can be cause by a lot of things, like stress, eyes/ears problem, allergy like if you have hay fever or allergic rhinitis etc.. First you need to identify whats triggering it, then minimize if you cant avoid those factors, do some relaxation technique like yoga or anything you know that could relax you if its secondary to stress, if its really worse then see your doctor it might not be just a simple migraine then proper investigation and treatment will be done.

had a terrible bout with migraine last sunday .... a neurologist friend said there's such a thing as "intestinal migraine" ... it's got something to do with a stomach condition or something that you ate. guess that's what I had ... and my stomach just rejected any medication that I tried to take ... the moment I took a pain killer i just threw up. next I took a couple of antacids and in less than 5 minutes they came up, too. I read somewhere that taking a glass of Gatorade will do the trick ... tried it before and it worked, but not with this latest case last sunday.

take ibuprofen, effective but if still doesn't work na try ko na yung diclofenac sodium (doloflam). kakaantok nga lang pero isang inuman lang tanggal na. it's between ibuprofen and anesthesia na. matindi na sakit nun. :lol: sa biogesic, mawawala for a while pero nag-rerecur.

ako kasi talagang kahit mag-rest ako, masakit pa rin ulo ko. i also avoid yung bawal like (coffee, cheese etc.)wa epek ang tulog. :D

since my kumander is a doctor, i get free meds that are powerful enough to anesthesize a horse hehe.. un nga lang, ayoko na rin kasi mag try ng sobra daming gamot.. adik na nga ako sa sex, baka pati sa droga maging adik pa ko :P

meron din akong migraine... somehow connected siya sa sinus ko... isa lang ang nakakatulong sa akin... SLEEP... kung minsan nga lang sleep is not possible (because of work), kaya talagang tiis lang ako. :cry:

When my migraine strikes, I drink Ibuprofen/Paracetamol/Mefenamic Acid. But if I take my medicine too late (as in malakas na siya) I usually just throw up :sick: then try to sleep it off. The room has to be cool and dark, kasi heat and bright lights either trigger or worsen it.

I have a friend who suffers from vascular migraine. You should definitely avoid coffee. It's diuretic. Try drinking lots of water and get advice from a physician.

i get these migraines evry so often and for me the following techniques have worked thus far --

1 - lots and lots of water. no caffeine (coffee, cola, tea)

2 - a warm shower

3 - 500 mg of mefenamic acid

4 - a dark, cool room

5 - around 6 hours of sleep

6 - when i wake up, another shower, cold this time

7 - some food after the shower

i usually feel better after this.

notice how after a migraine you have this wonderful sense of well being... na parang ang gaan ng feeling mo... isa daw yan sa unique characteristics ng migraine.

i suffer from migrane too once in a while, pero tinutulog ko lang for around 3 hours. tapos nun, a cold shower.. wala na...
