Duterte's Presidency : Expectations, Controversies, Rants, Etc.

What does Duterte need to talk about? The "build-build-build" is there for everyone to see.

everyone???

kaya puro traffic traffic traffic at

puro baha baha baha

Ganun ba? How?

so para saan ang emergency powers? bakit kailangan?

ano meron pag may emergency powers compared sa wala?

Three months na ang nakakalipas. Wala pa sinasabi ang ICC.

ganun ba kabilis dapat?

All I am saying is that the situation the MRT is in started with the Aquino administration. What did Abaya do?

2 years na po tayo under digong... hanggang ngayon past admin pa rin may kasalanan??

ilang taon ba kailangan, 6 years?

I almost forgot to mention C6 and the SLEX extension. Aside from that, meron pang ginagawa na infrastructure sa Visayas at Mindanao.

Emergency powers for traffic. Read up on it.

ganun ba kabilis dapat?

Mabagal ba dapat? Good luck in waiting for it.

China Hasn’t Delivered on Its $24 Billion Philippines Promise
July 25, 2018, 5:00 PM EDT
  • Of the 27 deals signed in 2016, not much work has begun
  • Beijing has scored major political wins from Manila since 2016

Almost two years after China pledged $24 billion in investment to the Philippines, barely any projects have materialized, prompting deepening concerns that President Rodrigo Duterte has undermined the country’s sovereignty with little to show in return...

I like duterte pero can i ask the duterte supporters here:

1. Do we like whats happening really in our country?

2. Is this the change that we were made to believe in?

3. His die hard supporters who are said to be angry qt corruption and wants change na nabigyqn ng pwesto like Cesar Montano, Tulfo Teo, Calida, i noticed corrupt din naman pero bakit wala tayo naririnig fr our Pres.?

Note: i dont like to hear reasons like eh si Panot mas masahol or things like that. Im just asking hope you wont get offended. Thanks.

I am apolitical. I really don't mind whoever runs our country as long as he does not run it to the ground. My concern right now is the current inflation and the devaluation of the peso. Its is really bad. Sobrang taas na talaga ng bilihin. Tapos maririnig mo pa yung mga corrupt government officials like what you said in #2. How can they justify the Train Law kung ganyan ang nangyayari?

by the way, yung skyway extension, in fairness, past admin pa yan...

Emergency powers for traffic. Read up on it.

hindi mo maexplain ano? hahahahah

Mabagal ba dapat? Good luck in waiting for it.

chill lang.... bakit kabado?

so gaano katagal dapat? alam ko may nangako na 1 year tapos na....

the traffic can be solved without emergency powers....

That's what Du30 said, but in a different context.

He said, "If you want this administration to solve the traffic problem in a short period of time, give me emergency powers. But if you wouldn't, we will solve it according to the limitations on government bidding and contracting... " or something to that effect.

hindi mo maexplain ano? hahahahah-Just because I said read up on it does not mean I can't explain it. Maghanap ka instead of cluelessly saying I can't explain it.

-It is not Duterte's fault that those trains got busted due to carelessness by the administration of his moronic predecessor.

may konting sense of panic na, pinol is now studying of increasing the importation of agricultural products to at least minimize the effect of this inflation.

8 months in since the TRAIN law was approved and we have 7 months of constantly increasing inflation.

Sen. Zubiri explained this well yesterday sa CNN. Train law added up to the inflation but not the only factor. And TRAIN 2 will not be a inflation triggered law.

National ID to roll out in Metro Manila, Region IV-A by year-end

http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2018/08/08/national-id-philsys-roll-out-manila-region-4a-2018.html

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 8) — The national identification (ID) card will be available for free in Metro Manila and Region IV-A by the end of 2018, a congressman said Wednesday.

"[The National Capital Region] and Region IV-A will be the pilot areas... before the end of the year," Davao City Representative Karlo Nograles told CNN Philippines' The Source.

Nograles, who sponsored the bill and is also chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, said P2 billion had been allotted for the national ID at the beginning of the year.

"Dapat magastos siya... at ma-fully utilize natin ang pondong iyan," he said.

[Translation: That has to be used... We need to fully utilize that fund.]

He said that another ₱2 billion had also been allotted for the national ID system next year, but the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) had requested for a total budget of ₱6 billion. The PSA is expected to come up with the implementing rules and regulations for the law.

As opposed to the DDS view from 6-7 months ago that TRAIN will not affect people’s buying power because they will get to take home more of their salary.

Train is definitely a punishment for the poor. Kawawa mahihirap dyan. On a lighter side, i think the national ID system is helpful for the Filipinos.

This ID would be very helpful. Especially sa mga mahihirap who can not afford passports or driver licenses. We commend the govt for this. Sana lang fool proof ang data privacy to protect the citizens at hindi magamit sa mali

President Rodrigo Duterte has fired 20 military officials, including top brass of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), over alleged corruption activities such as anomalous and ghost projects at the V. Luna Medical Center in Quezon City, Malacañang said Monday.

Presidential Spokeserson Harry Roque said Duterte has ordered the relief of 20 officials after “it was brought to the President’s attention that alleged corruption activities have been taking place at the V. Luna Medical Center.”

Among the at least 20 officials, Roque has only identified two so far.

“President Duterte has ordered relief and court martial proceedings against top miltiary brass, which includes Brig. Gen. Edwin Leo Torrelavega, Commander of the AFP Heath Service Command (AFPHSC), Col. Antonio Punzalan, Commander of the V. Luna Medical Center, Chiefs of Management and Fiscal Office and the Logistics office of the AFPHSC among others,” he said in a Palace briefing.

The Palace official also said Duterte has since read the report of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commisiion (PACC) and the AFP.

“Based on the reports, several high ranking officials and employees of the V. Luna Medical Center, Health Service Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, undertook anomalous purchases of equipment and engaged in fraudulent transactions, including ghost-purchasing, splitting of contracts to circumvent mandatory bidding processes, and conceiving fictitious suppliers with a total amount of P1,491,570.00,” Roque said.
