KOMEDOR FILIPINO RESTAURANT

Panay Avenue beside Artsy Cafe & Mandarin Sky Wok

Food is "comfort food" ok for the not very expensive price ....... though don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Just tried Empingao in Poblacion, Makati. I think I might have had the best Cubano sandwich in Metro Manila.

For spanish food lovers, try Las Flores. Its a little bit pricey but great tasting food. Nice ambience as well.

I definitely agree with you! Their croquetas de chorizo are amazing. I always order it as ulam for my paella negra. Hahaha.

found this near the SM Supermarket , basement, SM Makati ---

Finally, tikoy just the way I want it  --- small, bite-sized like mini turons, crisp on the outside, sticky of course inside.  With a dash of condensed milk  :)

SM Supermarket is my go-to place for all things wrapped  --- turon, lumpia and just about anything else  ;)

but SM's is different.  They're like turon, but mini-versions.  Not even dipped in egg, i think.

at any rate, all kinds are fine with me  :)

exactly like those (just like how you described the SMs version) ........ ready to eat and no eggs required. Most of the angels I know like the Pandan flavor.

Simple lunch of a pizza slice, Two-Piece Chicken with rice and a hotdog (not in picture) plus sodas is quite filling already for Myself (since I dont eat that much anymore :D ) and two senior citizen parents.

The two ones that I know of are Bonifacio High Street and Uptown Mall.

But I hate the place, tbh. It took them 45 minutes to serve me an overcooked steak. There was no way I was gonna wait 45 minutes more for another one.

FYI! Actually, the One in Bonifacio High Street is a copycat lang they had to change their name when the real one opened in Manila.

The REAL Texas Roadhouse (Franchise from the USA by Bistro Group) are the ones in Uptown Mall and S Maison.

Steak was ok, but i'd rather have my steak elsewhere or at home nalang.

We were actually planning to try the Weekend Lunch buffet at Conrad Hotel ....... but the 2,500 peso per head price tag doesn't seem worth it. Besides they would start their lunch service at 12 noon and we were already there at 11:00am.

SO we decided to just try the Xiao Long Bao (and other food stuff) at PARADISE DYNASTY in S-MAISON.

I decided to try them without the use of the vinegar so that I can really taste the different flavors. In the end, my favorite would be the red one (Szechuan)

there was no pila on our part (5 pax) ..... that was sunday, lunch at around 1145am.

though eventually the place was full house. There were some on waiting list but it doesn't look like the line was long.
